Pintsize _Underwear Ninja

I recently played an online game and it didn't do me any good for my nerves. It was kinda creepy, however I had fun.

http://www.mousebreaker.com/tag/group-beingone

On Saturday for the first time in my life I was alone at the cinema and it was really nice. I had a comfy seat where I coud spread my legs to their full length [I'm 193 centimeter/76 inches tall] and saw the newest Michael Moore - movie, 'Capitalism: A Love Story'. I enjoyed it very much, it was typical for it's director. I went alone for two reasons. First, nobody else wanted to see it. Second, I wanted to be by myself. I might do it from time to time again.

I just resolved to write more often in this cyber-thingy of mine 'cause it's fun to read all this stuff when some time has passed. To reconstruct your thoughts and maybe see a little personal evolution. Then again, when I see what stuff I write in this ... yeah, I have to admit that sometimes I'm a teeny weeny little dork.

Glued fingers ....

South Park Style_Uh Oh

I'm not kidding. Really. I managed to glue my left pinkie, ring- and middlefinger together. I once read an Casey/Serena story, where Casey glued her whole hand. [http://commasplice103.livejournal.com/7339.html
http://commasplice103.livejournal.com/7719.html#cutid1]
I laughed and thought "How can someone be so stupid?", but now I'm seeing it in a different light. I still think it's funny and somehow I can laugh about my own stupidity. I mean really, I'm 23 years old and glued my fingers! They were soaked with glue. And not any kind of glue, no. Of course it was the super fast drying kind of glue. That's so ... well, stupid. But to get the whole sh*** of my fingers, damn. At first I used nail polish remover. Hmm, it was nice if you like the smell. Bah! But it wasn't that effecticve. So my mom went in to the kitchen and brought me turpentine [what the bloody hell is she doing in the kitchen with turpentine?!]. The smell was worse than the nail polish remover but therefore a lot effectiver by actually removing some of the stuff. Okay, it didn't removed the glue, but it made it crumbly, so that I could peel the glue from my fingers and oh boy, I'm so glad to still have the skin on them. After one hour or so I gladly can tell you, that ca. 95 % of the glue are safely removed.

Books

Silken Floss_The Spirit

So I like books. Always liked them and always will be. Old books, new books and books in between, they all have their own charisma. And I just love to have the books, which I read, in display. I never would put my books so, that one would hide another or put them behind glass or something else. Furthermore I prefer to buy the books I want to read. It isn't cheap and I can't buy every book I want and sometimes I have to lend one, but I prefer to buy and own them. So yeah, books are one big hobby of mine.

Currently I'm reading "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haruki_Murakami

It's my fifth book from Murakami. Beside "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle", I already own "Kafka on the Shore", "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World", "After Dark" and "A Wild Sheep Chase". His books are great and I want to have and read them all.

In December will be a new book from Kim Harrison published. Her writing isn't genius but I really do like her on-going Hollows-story about Rachel Morgan and her friends/buisness partners Ivy Tamwood and Jenks. As a Vampire-Fan I espeically like Ivy.

http://www.kimharrison.net/

So as the Vampire-Fan I am, I of course read the Vamp-stories by Anne Rice. I almost have them all, I only still need "Blood Canticle" and "Vittorio".

http://www.annerice.com/Bookshelf-VampireChronicles.html

My favorite book [it's one of my favorites in general] is "Queen of the Damned". Once in a while I read it all over again. But please don't confuse the book with the just awful movie. After I have read it the first time, the pages were all lose [bad embedding], but I didn't mind it. I looped every page, binded them together and put the whole stack loosely back in it's cover. In my opinion it's a bonus to the book's charm and I don't want another copy. I like mine as it is.

I also have the four 'Watch-books' by Sergei Lukyanenko. "The Night Watch", "The Day Watch", "The Twilight Watch" and "The Last Watch". I haven't yet read other books by Lukyanenko and am not sure I will, but I certenly do like this Tetralogy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Lukyanenko

Another author I like is Sarah Waters. I've read "Tipping the Velvet", "Fingersmith", "Affinity" and "The Night Watch". I like the first one best and read it more than three times. But I always leave nearly the whole second part out. I only read it the first time and aren't to fond of it. But I just love the First and Third Part. I also didn't liked Affinity that much. It's a good book, but it's not high in my ranking list.

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Waters

I too have to mention "The Hours" by Michael Cunningham [a great great book and the movie is great too], "Oranges are not the only Fruit" by Jeanette Winterson [I read it two times and intend to read more of her works] and "God is Dead" by Ronald F. Currie [It's one of these books, by which you have to stop after every few pages and think about them].

When I'm finished with "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle", I'm going to read "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf. It will be my first Woolf-novel. I also would like to read "Orlando" sometime.

I've read more books, than the ones I listed but that would be too much to write about, so I leave it by these few books, which are mostly my favorites.

And please have in mind that the Manga is really much much better, than the Anime.

One Piece!

Hello!

Among other things, I got from my brothers the three newest One Piece Manga. For starters, One Piece is much much better than Dragon Ball. When you know both Manga, you know that it's true. ;) For those of you, who doesn't know what I'm speaking about, shame on you. But don't worry, I'm going to introduce you the serie a little. One Piece, not Dragon Ball. Dont misunderstand me, I loved to watch Dragon Ball, but that was a long time ago and the quality decreased with the time. Sooo, now to One Piece!

Of course you can browse some more One Piece and the Straw Hat Members and find pretty pretty things.

And for the femslashers among you [I know there are some], for e.g. you can pair Nami with Vivi oor Nico Robin [my favorite character].

Soo, have a fun day with One Piece!

Whoever [probably not so many people ;-)] is reading this, do you remember He-Man and She-Ra? There are many Cartoons I loved to watch as a toddler [and teenager ..., okay okay, I still watch them every once a while. Sadly this good old stuff from the 80s isn't broadcasted anymore] but these two have a special place in my memory. Why? Oh come on, they are just cool! Magic Swords, the transformation, the typical hero's secretiveness [except for the Fantastic Four] about their real identity and bad guys who are getting their ass kicked. What's not to love? Every boy wanted to be He-Man and every girl wanted to be She-Ra. I especially loved [still love] the transformation scene [yes, I'm a freak like that].
I remember the episodes where Adora aka She-Ra was introduced, getting her magic sword, learning about her past [her abduction as a baby], becoming She-Ra for the first time [yeah!] and deciding to fight for the good. I watched them many times as a kid and I really have to find a way to get them. Naturally She-Ra is better than her twin He-Man [Adam]. Why? Duh, 'cause she's a girl! Girl-power!

So I looked on YouTube and found the Intros! Get ready for some nostalgia [and the ones of you who doesn't know She-Ra and He-Man yet, there's for all a first time]

He-Man )

Oh!!! I found a video with Adora's first transformation!

1st time becoming She-Ra )

So that's it for this time.

Why is Dina so annoyed looking?

You see the icon to this post? There are reasons why I chose an annoyed looking Dina Meyer. Yesterday I watched with my best friend three movies. The first one was good. The second one was okay [whether good nor bad]. But the third one was ... it would've been good, if it ended after 90 minutes instead of whole 160 minutes. I have nothing against long movies, if they aren't so ... annoying boring. Like someone is pulling your band-aid in slow motion. something more to read and pics to watch )

Little Update

Silken Floss_The Spirit
Well, my last entry is a little bit .... old, thus I'm now posting sometinge new. For starters there is the problem with my Laptop. Usally I love it but in the last time it just doesn't do anything it should. Luckily my girlfriend knows something about all this technical mess [at least more than I do] and is willed to help me. And until my Laptop is running again, I have to use the Family-Computer [when my little brother isn't hogging it]. It isn't that bad 'cause now I'm not spending that much time in the Internet.

At the 15th October my new courses are starting and I'm glad to be back in University-Life. There is some Japanese [language and history] and some Philosophy-Courses [I love ethics].

Tomorrow, tomorrow, oh tomorrow! Huh? You want to know what's so special about tomorrow? From tomorrow on my family and I are going on a vacation for two weeks!!! Where? In France! To be exactly we're going to stay at my grand-aunts house [and that's in the Provence, near a little place called Meounes {or something like that}] . Not in the house, cause that's too small. But on the land; estate; whatever. I got a new tent [To be true, it's going to be the first time for me to sleep in a tent. But the tent is pretty cool and it's dark red.]. And within the next two weeks more and more relatives are going to come and with the most of them, it's going to be fun. Heh.
So for the next two weeks I'm saying goodbye!

Japanese and Harry Potter

Sooo, the test yesterday wasn't bad. In fact, I've done really good. The first part, I'm absolutley sure I passed it! I already passed the second one last year, so there was still the third, but I did my best and believe that it's enough to have passed this one, too! And the best, afterwards I went to the cinema seeing the fith Harry Potter movie [of course not alone, that would've been boring. My company was nice and charmant]. I could do a review, but I'm not in the mood for it. Just that I think it's the best HP-movie. Script was okay, music was super, special-effects were super, too. Heh.

Heh, I'm a little bit .... edgy. Just a teeny little bit. Not much. Really. Why? Oh, well, yeah. Tomorow is the big day. Really big. It's nearly one year ago, that I fell through the cousre "Japanese 2" and tomorrow I will try it again. Until yesterday I was calm and thought, "You will pass". But today is a bad day. I can't even learn anymore 'cause it's making me nervous and insecure. I know I can do it, but neverthless is there this tiny insecure feeling, which tells me "If I fail again, I'm going to die". I don't wanna die! I want to pass this stuoid test and then have a nice day! Okay okay, I'm going to watch "Miami Ink" now and try to stay calm. I wish I could write the test now. I have learnt. I can do it. I will do it.

Ugh, it's 7 am and I have one hour left to write this shitty protocol about something I hardly understand. I have to write it, I invested to much time to not finish it. Just a few more lines. But really, the subject is too big for my brain and its little logic. And it's boring. I don't understand per 100 % what I'm writing about but it's boring. And instead of finishing it, I'm reading femslash and currently writing this entry. But I have one thing to look forward to. My best friend is having a little party tomorrow [she turned 22 nine days ago] and today we two alone already start to celebrate a little. SHIT! I now only have 45 minutes left .... . I have to do it now. Okay okay. I stop to be whiny, be the woman I am and finish the protocol! Heh ....

Burning the weed!!!

  • Jun. 12th, 2007 at 6:06 PM
Silken Floss_The Spirit
Sooo, we [my family and I] are living in a little nice house. A house with a garden. I don't like gardening. I rather clean the house instead of doing some gardening. Except from raking the leaves. I like raking the leaves. But otherwise, I don't like gardening. So, my mother loves gardening and today she wanted to do some. Okay, the weed needed to 'be eliminated'. Since my mother is a) still recovering from her surgeon and b) she just istn't that fit, she can't do all on her own. Thus my little brother and me had to help. [I told that she hasn't to do anything, I would do it but she is stubborn and can hardly sit still for an hour] I have to admit it wasn't that bad. Maybe I tend to overreact when it comes to gardening. But the best thing was, I could play with the bunsen burner! Soooo cool!!! *big grin* Maybe you are wondering what that thing has to do with gardening. Heh. Our patio is made of many square ... stones [I don't know a better description for it but I'm sure you all know what I mean]. There is a little gap between all them. In this tiny gaps is growing some weed. And since I don't mean the weed you can smoke and have fun with, it has to go. And therefore is the bunsen burner. That was today definitely the best thing from the gardening-department. I burned all the unfun weed away!!!

Burn burn burn, the ring of fire, the ring of fire ....

Last three days

Silken Floss_The Spirit
Wohoo! Long time no see but since in the last three days some stuff happened, I'm posting a new entry! You know, ... the entry which you are reading right at this moment. The entry full with the spelling and grammar mistakes. So, for starter there was Wednesday. Maybe you're asking yourself now [or in case you have some telepathic powers, then maybe you're asking me right at this moment but I assure you, I don't want to hear you cause it's disturbing me. My hands are already full with my 5 personalities.] .... so, where were we? Right! Wednesday! Well, it was my birthday!!!! Yeah! Another year survived! One year older! Oh god! I'm so old. You want to know how old? How rude from you! Didn't your mommy and daddy teach you that you don't ask a lady for her age? You're lucky I'm not a lady but you should be more discreet in the future. 22. I am 22 years old. And two days. You see? I'm old. Among other things [like my new stylish I-Pod. my baby] I got "Loving Annabelle" [from my sweet best friend angela_caida]. I watched it yesterday and I love it! I soooo love it! And for me the ending is an open ending! An open ending that I can fill with happy thoughts! Like the alternate ending on the DVD! I could watch it again. Maybe I do.
And now to Friday! Today I finally told my aunt [my mothers younger sister] and my little cousin [He's 12. When he was little, sometimes I took him out for a walk or nowadays I sometimes take him to the cinema] that I'm gay! And guess what? My cousin doesn't car cause he got new shoes today! And my aunt said: "Huh. To be true I'm not surprised.". And after that she gave me a hug and said that she loves me! So great!!! So, as you can see in the next line, I'm finishing the entry now. Bye

The Meaning of being Free & Faith and Knowledge

Dear God,
please don’t rip my wings
away.

Let me fly to the sun,
even if I get burned and
fall down to the bottom
of all.

Let me fly to the horizon,
even if I learn
that I never can reach him.

Let me cry about my
broken wings,
let me fight against my
desperation.

But please dear God,
don’t rip my wings away.

--------------------------

Would you rather be the caged bird
which thinks it could reach
the horizon if just it would be free

or

would you rather be the free bird
which tried it and learned that
it isn't possible to reach the horizon?
